The explanation of the holy name Haider

The explanation of the holy name Haider: The word Haider means lion. This is a very famous pen-name of Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam. Really, he was a Haider of crusade and the lion of Allah (Asadullah). In all the battles (Ghazwas), wherever Huzur ﷺ was present, Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam had played an active role and fought bravely. He was the lion whom to encounter was very tough.

It was he and Hazrat Hamza Radiallahu anhoo in who gifted death to most of the warriors of the battle of Badar, which was the most important and the first battle in the history of Islam. During the war of Uhud, Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam scattered the rivals’ warriors’ battalions by battalions and won over them. When Amr-ibne-vad, who was considered to be equal to one thousand brave and courageous soldiers, came to the battle-field, nobody was ready to face him. Only Allah’s lion came forward and fought with him, and his one attack only sent him to the other world. When, in the battle of Khyber, Hazrat Umar Radiallahu anhoo did not succeed, it was Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam who, by the grace, blessings and banner of Huzur ﷺ and Allah, the Almighty stepped into the battle-field. Murahhib who was considered to be the pride of Jews and was equal to one thousand warriors, whose deep fear of bravery was spread over all the Arabs, were killed in just one stroke of Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam. This freed the Arabs from the dread of Jews. :
Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam was the lion of Allah who executed more number of rebellious ancient Arabs than any other had done. He enfeebled most of the rivals of Islam. The Muslims of the world will forever remember this obligation of Hazrat Alim with great respect and pious honour.
Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam was the lion of Allah and equally so for the Nakisin, Qasitin and Marikin as he was for the unbelievers and the Jews. Besides this, he was the lion in respect to the control of sensuous self. The analysis and interpretation of this point are endless, and it has great depth. This aspect
includes all the stages, states, acts and destinations of Tasawwuf (Islamic Mysticism).
