Unique privileges….

A great prestige for Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam for having Three unique privileges

It has been given in Sahih Muslim Vol-2 and Sunan-i-Timizi Vol-2 that Muavia Ibn-i-Abu Sufyan while abusing Hazrat Ali, ordered Sa’ad Ibni-Waqas Radiallahu anhoo “Why do you not abuse Abu Turab?”

In reply to this, Hazrat Sa’ad Radiallahu anhoo said, “I am reminded of three things of Rasulallah ﷺ due to which I can never abuse Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam Had any one of them given to me, I would have considered it to be more valuable than a red camel, i.e. I could have valued it more than any worldly wealth.” Then, he narrated those three things, which were the most precious assets of Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam

First Gift: Instead of taking Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam with him in the crusade (Ghazwa-e-Tabuk), Huzur ﷺ left him in Medina, on his own place. Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam requested, “O’Rasulallahﷺ , you are leaving me among the women and children.” On this, Huzur ﷺ said, “O’ Ali AlaihisSalam, are you not pleased with the fact that from me you get the same position as Haroon AlahisSalam got it from Hazrat Musa AlahisSalam? But after me, there will come no Divine Messenger (Nabi).” Hazrat Sa’ad Radiallahu anhoo says, “Had I been fortunate to get this gift, I would have considered myself to be the richest man of the world.”

Second Gift: In the crusade of Khyber, Huzur ﷺ said, “Now I will give the flag to the one who loves Allah, the Almighty and his Rasul ﷺ and is equally loved by Rasul ﷺ and Allah.” On these words of Huzur ﷺ we were very much expecting this invaluable fortune. But he ordered, “Call Ali AlaihisSalam!” Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam had some problem with his eyes, but he came even in that position. He (Huzur ﷺ) applied his saliva on Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam eyes and handed him over the flag. Then, Allah bestowed victory of Khyber through his hands. Hazrat Sa’ad Radiallahu anhoo says“Had this good fortune been given to me; it would have been more than the whole world’s wealth.”

Third Gift: There is a Quranic verse, implications of which are, “O’ Prophet ﷺ (Nabi), call all your sons, daughters and kiths and kins and tell these Christians also to come with their sons, daughters and their kiths and kins and request and pray that the untruth should have perished and there should be curse on it.” The name of this verse is Aayat-i-Mubahil. Its detailed description has already been given above in a previous chapter. Hazrat Sa’ad Radiallahu anhoo narrates that on the advent of this holy verse, Huzur ﷺ asked people to call Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam, Hazrat Fatima AlahisSalam, Hazrat Hasan AlahisSalam and Hazrat Hussain AlahisSalam and prayed to Allah, “O’Allah, these are my nears and dears.” In the eyes of Hazrat Sa’admit, this gift to Hazrat Alimt was so great that he said, “Had this goodness and good fortune been given to me, I would have considered it to be more precious and valuable than the wealth of the whole world.

In the Holy Quran, the Saha’abas have been warned at many places, but Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam has always been referred to with his goodness only

Hafiz Imam Tabrani in “Moajam Kabir,” Imam Ibn-i-Abi Hatimin his Commentary (Tafsir), Imam Abu Naeem in his “Hidayat-ul Auliya” and Hazrat Ibn-i-Abbasi Radiallahu anhoo narrate to the people of faith that

wherever Allah has state the Divine Message, He has said,
“Listen their head, and the director is Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam” At many places, the Sahaabas has become the subject of His wrath, but for Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam, He has sent His blessings only.

None of the Saha’abas has been fortunate to receive so many Holy Quranic verses as have been descended about Hazrat Ali

While narrating Hazrat Ibn-i-Abbas’single speech, Imam Ibn-i-Asakir narrates, “About none so many Quranic Verses (A’ayaten) have been descended, as have been, about Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam.”

Hafiz Ibn-i-Asakir has also written while quoting Hazrat Ibn-i-Abbass Radiallahu anhoo”Three hundred Quranic Verses have been descended about Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam.
