Name, pen-name and lineage: Her name is Fatima, Zahara and Sayyidatun Nisa are her titles. She was the youngest and the most loved daughter of Huzur-i-Anwarﷺ . It is given in Istia’ab that she was born on the first year of the Prophethood in the holy family of Huzur ﷺ Her blessed mother is respected Ummul Mominin Hazrat Khadija Siddique-i Uzma Radiallahu anhoo
Innocent Childhood: Huzur ﷺ unique process of bringing up and the training of life made her so perfect and competent that she was a glaring example of an ideal and exemplary personality. Right from childhood, she used to be involved in the devotion of Almighty and recitation of the Holy Quran. Her prayers and the words had acquired very strong effects.
Once Huzur ﷺ was offering the prayer in the Haram-e-Ka’aba and people of Quraish, Abu Jahal and Umayya-bin-Khalaf etc. were present there. Uqba-bin-Abi Mui’t came with camel’s liver and threw it on Huzur ﷺ neck while he was praying. The Quraish were very happy about this. Someone went and informed Hazrat Fatema AlahisSalam about this. At that time, she was only five years old. But she came running furiously, removed the liver from the holy neck, fired Uqba-bin-Abu Mui’t in very harsh words and cursed him which had a very bad effect, and he died an atheist.
Marriage in Zilhijjah Hijri 02
According to Sahih exemplum, Hazrat Saiyeda AlahisSalam born during the 1″ year of the Prophethood. Hence, in Hijri 02, she was fifteen years old. The matrimonial proposals started coming, Sunan-i-Nasai (Vol-2, Cha. 69, ‘Nikah-ul-Abka’ar) states that Hazrat Abu Bakr Radiallahu anhoo and Hazrat Umar Radiallahu anhoo put up their proposals to Huzur ﷺ Huzur ﷺ said, “She is very young.” Then, Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam proposed and he married her to Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam. It is given in Kanzul Umma’al Vol-2, Cha. 293 that when Huzur ﷺ replied to Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar Hazrat Umar suggested Hazrat Ali to send a proposal and added that Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam was very much suitable for that. Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam proposed, and the proposal was accepted.
In this connection, Huzur ﷺ told Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam, “What do you have to offer as Meher?” He said, “I have a camel and armour.” Huzur ﷺ said, “The armour is enough.” It was sold for 480 Dirham, 10 out of which were brought before Huzur ﷺ . He ordered Hazrat Bilal Radiallahu anhoo to bring some perfume. Thus Hazrat Fatima AlahisSalam was married to Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam. 480 Dirham were accepted as Maher. This is the Maher-iFatima. It is given in Musnad-i-Ahmad and Tabran-i-Kabir that when Huzur ﷺ told Hazrat Fatima AlahisSalam, “Are you not pleased with the fact, that I have given you in marriage to a man who is the first Muslim in the community of my followers, has a great patience and is more mature than anybody else in the community?”
As a dowry, the king of this and the other world (Shahenshah-i-Konain), gave a coired-cot, leather-matress, which was filled with the date-leaves, leather water-container, two grinding stones and two earthen pots to the lady of the heaven (Khatun-i-Jannat). The wonderful thing about these articles is that those were her friends throughout her life. And, Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam whose contentment was extra-ordinary, could not add anything more in these assets. (Ma’akhuz-Az-Sirat-un-Nabi)
It is written in Sahih-ibn-e-Habban that, immediately after the holy daughter’s marriage, Huzur ﷺ uttered the following prayer:
“O Allah, 1 beg for your shelter for the protection of my daughter and her children from the Shaitan-i-Rajim.”
Then for Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam also, he prayed in the same way. Due to this prayer, all of them were beyond any wrong deed (gunah).
