The Pious Children
He had seven children, six sons and a daughter. Their names were: (i)Hazrat Ismail, (ii) Hazrat Muhammad, (iii) Hazrat Ali, (iv)Hazrat Abdullah, (v) Hazrat Ishaq, (vi) Hazrat Musa Kazim The name of the daughter was ‘Um Farwah’ to whom Ibn-ul-Akhizar writes, ‘Fatima’. Shahar Satani in malal n nahal talks only of five children. (Anwaar e Sufiya)
Spiritual Descendants (Khulfa-e-Kiram)
The history shows that his followers were of an outstanding status. Each one of them was capable enough to lead the whole world so far as spiritual leadership was concerned. Their holy names are (i) Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim, (ii) Hazrat Imam A’azam and (iii) Hazrat Bayazid Bustami
Final Departure
Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq soul departed from this world on Friday, 15th Rajab or 24th Shawal-ul-Mukarram, Hijri 148/ 765A.D. at the age of 68 in Medinah during the regime of second Caliph of the lineage of Abbasids, Abu Jafar-Ibne-Abu- Al Abbasul Safa’ah. Holy Shrine
His holy shrine is in the vicinity of his holy father Hazrat Imam Baqir’s holy shrine at Jannat-ul-Baqi at Medinah Munawarah. (Masa’alik-ul-Sa’alikin and Tahezib-ul-tahazib)
