ALLAH says in the Noble Quran
1.“We sent down in the Quran that which is a CURE and mercy for the faithful”.
2.“Say: For those who have faith, it (Quran) is a guidance and HEALING; but as for
those who are faithless, there is a deafness in their ears and it is lost to their
sight”. (41:44)


Hadith عَلَیْكُمْ بِالشِّفَاءَیْنِ: الْعَسَلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ . 1 » : عَنْ عَبْدِ للهَِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ للهَِّ
Translation: Narrated by Abdullah Ibn Masud (ra) that the Prophet (Peace be
upon him) said: Make use of the two cures i.e. the honey and Quran [Sunnan Ibn
Majah Volume No.2, Hadith No. 3531]
Hadith 2.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ للهَِّ صَلَّى للهَُّ عَلَیْھِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا فَزِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي النَّوْمِ فَلْیَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ للهَِّ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِھِ وَعِقَابِھِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ .
وَمِنْ ھَمَزَاتِ الشَّیَاطِینِ وَأَنْ یَحْضُرُونِ فَإِنَّھَا لَنْ تَضُرَّهُ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ للهَِّ بْنُ عُمَرَ یُلَقِّنُھَا مَنْ بَلَغَ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ یَبْلُغْ مِنْھُمْ كَتَبَھَا فِي
صَكٍّ ثُمَّ عَلَّقَھَا فِي عُنُقِھِ
Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported from his father, from his grandfather that Allah’s
Messenger (SAW) said, “If any of you gets a nightmare, let him say: I seek refuge
in the perfect words of Allah against His wrath and His punishment and the’
mischief of His slaves and from the temptations of the devils and that which they
Then they will not harm him.” So, Abdullah ibn Amr used to teach this
supplication to his grown up children. And, he wrote it down on something and
hung it on the neck of those who had not a􀃜􀃜ained puberty. [Abu Dawud 3893
,sunan tirmidhi Chapter 99, hadith أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَالْحَاكِمُ وَقَالَ صَحِیحُ الْإِسْنَادِ [ 3539
Abu Dawood [rah], Nasai [rah] and Al Hakim [rah] said the Isnad is SAHIH
And قال أبو عیسى ھذا حدیث حسن غریب
Imam Tirmidhi after quoting it said: Abu Esa [rah] said the Hadith is Hasan
Hadith 3.
“When a person who was sick or in some distress they would go to the Prophet
(may Allah bless him and grant him peace) who would then place his hand on the
area of pain and recite a du’a’ and then blow onto him” [Bukhari; Muslim, Chapter
of Tibb]
Hadith 4.
“When the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was ill for the last
time, Angel Jibril (peace be upon him) came and recited du’a’ and blew on to the
Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)” [Muslim, Chapter of Tibb]
Hadith 5.
” ‘A’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) relates that when the Prophet (may Allah
bless him and grant him peace) was ill for the last time, she recited Sura al-Falaq
and Sura an-Nas and then blew on to the Prophet’s (may Allah bless him and
grant him peace) hands. The Prophet then blew this onto his own face and body
because his hands had more blessing then ‘A’isha’s (may Allah be pleased with
her)” [Muslim, Chapter of Tibb]
“Imam an-Nawawi in Sharh Muslim states:
‘There are two types of ahadith concerning this [For eg.. “He who wears an
amulet commits Shirk.” (Ahmad, 4/156) And he (peace be upon him) said: “Verily,
incantations, amulets and Tiwalah are Shirk.” (Abu Dawood, no. 3883)]
It is transmi􀃜ed in Bukhari: ‘There will be people who will enter Paradise without
any questioning, who have never been blown upon.’ Imam Muslim has also
recorded a hadith in support of those who do not ask to be blown upon.
Imam Bukhari in the chapter on Tibb [Medicine] has wri􀃜en du’as that our
Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) recited when doing damm
[reciting a du’a and then blowing onto a person].
Imam Muslim states in ‘The Chapter on Virtues of the Prophet (may Allah bless
him and grant him peace)’ that: “When our Prophet (may Allah bless him and
grant him peace) was ill, the Angel Jibril came to him and performed the blowing.”
The above types of ahadith apparently seem to contradict each other but in
reality there is no contradiction as the one which contain quran are allowed and
the those which contain polytheistic things wri􀃜en in it is shirk. (see hadith no 7,8
Allama Sa’idi in Sharh Sahih Muslim says :
“The former type of hadith refers to the prohibition of having read something that
is not from the Qur’an and Sunna [i.e.something that has pictures, diagrams or
words not from the Qur’an or Sunna] and then blow upon someone.
The la􀃜er types of ahadith which permit damm refer to those kalimat [words or
verses] which have been taught by the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant
him peace)” [Allama Sa’idi, Sharh Sahih Muslim, Chapter of Tibb]
Hadith no 6.
“Amr ibn Shu’aib (may Allah be pleased with him) said that ‘Rasulu’llah(may Allah
bless him and grant him peace) taught my father and grandfather a du’a which
we would read before going to sleep, to protect us from fear and anguish.We told
our elder children to recite this du’a before going to sleep as well.But for those
children who were not yet literate, we would write it and then put it around their
necks” [Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal vol.2,Abu Dawud, in ‘Chapter of Medicine’]
Hadith 7.
Jabir said: “I had an uncle who used to treat people with incantations for the
scorpion’s sting. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade incantations, he
came to him and asked him: ‘O Messenger of Allah, You have forbidden
incantations, and I treat those who are stung by scorpions with incantations.’ He
(peace be upon him) said: ‘He who can help his brother, let him do so.’ (Sahih
Muslim, no. 2199)
Hadith 8.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There is no harm in incantations as long
as they do not include Shirk. (Sahih Muslim, no. 2200)


The permissibility of hanging Ta’wizes is reported from many of the Companions
and early Muslims (Salaf), including: Sa’id ibn al-Musayyab, Ata’, Mujahid, Abd
Allah ibn Amr, Ibn Sirin, Ubaydullah ibn Abd Allah ibn Umar, and others (Allah be
well pleased with them all). [Al-Musannaf ibn Abi Shayba, 5.439].


1.Imam al-Qurtubi says
“The ta’wiz that are forbidden are those ta’wiz from the Time of Ignorance
-]those which are satanic and contain an element of shirk [mantar, voodoo and
magic, etc.]. The ta’wiz, which are permi􀃜ed are those wri􀃜en with du’as
evidently from Qur’an and ahadith only” [al-Qurtubi, at-Tadhkirat, chapter on
2.Allama Alusi al-Hana􀃘􀃘 says
“According to Imam Malik ‘It is permi􀃜ed to put around the neck the ta’wiz
wri􀃜en with the name of Allah.’ Imam Baqir also stated that it is permi􀃜ed to put
such a ta’wiz around the neck of a child” [Ruh al-Mani, chapter 15, under Sura al-
Mu’minun, verse 97]
3. Ha􀃘􀃘z Ibn Kathir says
“Amr ibn Shu’aib (may Allah be pleased with him) said that ‘Rasulu’llah(may
Allah bless him and grant him peace) taught my father and grandfather a du’a
which we would read before going to sleep, to protect us from fear and
anguish.We told our elder children to recite this du’a before going to sleep as
well.But for those children who were not yet literate, we would write it and then
put it around their necks” [Tafsir Ibn Kathir, under Sura al-Mu’minun, verse 97)
4. Qadi Shawkani says
He too narrates the same hadith (.But for those children who were not yet
literate, we would write it and then put it around their necks) under the ayah 97 of
Surah Al uminun in Fath al-Qadir.
#5#What the Imams Of Ahle Hadith or Sala􀃘􀃘s say…
I. Ibn Taymiyya writes:
1.”It is permissible to [to recite du’a’s and then] blow upon the sick in Islam, but
the words must be from the Qur’an or ahadith. If the words are not, then it is not
permissible” [Ibn Taymiyya, At-Tawassul, Chapter on Blowing onto the Sick]
2. “It is permissible for an ill or troubled person, that certain verses from the
Qur’an are wri􀃜en with pure ink, then it is washed and given to the ill to drink.Ibn
Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have mentioned a certain Dua
that should be wri􀃜en and placed close to the woman who is experiencing hard
labour at the time of giving birth. (Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya)
3.Sayyiduna Ali (Allah be pleased with him) says: Dua should be wri􀃜en and tied
to the arm of the woman. We have experienced that there is nothing more
amazing than this” (Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya, 19/65).
II. Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah(Student of Ibne Taymiyya) says:
Some of our rightly guided ancestors stated that there is no harm if some ayat
(Verse) from the Qur’an were wri􀃜􀃜en in ink and then washed with water and that
the sick person drinks that water. Mujahid issues a statement to that e􀃗ect and
so did Abu Qilabah. It was also reported that Ibn ‘Abbas once commanded that
two verses from the Qur’an to be wri􀃜en for a woman who had hard pregnancies
and that the verses were then washed with water and she was to drink the water.
Also Ayub said, “I saw Abu Qilabah write some Verses from the Qur’an wash it
with water and then give the water to a person who was su􀃗ering from some type
of illness to drink it [Tibb an Nabawi by Ibn Qayyim, Page No. 154, English

There are overwhelming proofs from Quran , Sahih Ahadith ,Amal of Sahaba and
that of Salafe Saliheen to know that Wearing Of Amulets is not only allowed but is
Sunnah of the Salaf.
To call it Shirk would be an exaggeration and the Person accusing others of shirk
should be aware that he himself could become a ka􀃘r in the light of hadith
1.Prophet Muhammad (Salalaho alehe wasalam) said : If a person says to his
brother, O KAFIR (disbeliever) ! Then surely one of them is such. (i.e; Ka􀃘r) (Sahih
Bukhari Volume 8 Book 73 Number 125)
2.Prophet Muhammad (Salalaho alehe wasalam) said : Any person who calls his
brother: O Unbeliever! (then the truth of this label) would return to one of them.
If it is true, (then it is) as he asserted, (but if it is not true), then it returns to him
(and thus the person who made the accusation is an Unbeliever). [Sahih Muslim
Book 001, Number 0117:]

मुरीद का मतलब क्‍या?

रे से राहत मिली, और रहे हमारे मुतलक,

शीन से शिर्क़ हुआ दूर दिल से,

दाल से दस्त मिला और मिला दिल दिल से।

हज़रत मुहम्मद ﷺ को देखकर जो ईमान लाए उसे सहाबी कहते हैं। सहाबी के मायने होते हैं ”शरफे सहाबियत” यानि सोहबत हासिल करना। जो हुजूर ﷺ की सोहबत में रहे वो सहाबी हुए। आलातरीन निसबत के एतबार से सहाबी अपने आप में अकेले हैं जिन्हें हुजूर ﷺ की कुरबत नसीब हुई, यहां ग़ैर की समाई नहीं। तसव्वुफ़ में सूफ़ीयों ने इसी इरादत को ‘मुरीदी’ का नाम दिया है। मुरीदी का मफ़हूम भी यही है कि जिस मुर्शिद कामिल से लगाव व ताल्लुक़ पैदा हो जाए और सच्चे दिल से उनकी तरफ़ माएल हो जाए तो उनकी ख़िदमत में आख़िरत सवांरने के लिए इताअत व नियाजमंदी के साथ फ़रमाबरदार हो जाए। ये हुक्मे ख़ुदा की ऐन तामील है-

ऐ ईमानवालों ख़ुदा से डरो और सच्चों के साथ रहा करो।

(कुरआन-9.सूरे तौबा-119)

इस आयात में तीन बातें कही गयी हैं एक ईमान-बिल्लाह, दुसरा तकवा-अल्लाह और तीसरा सोहबत-औलियाअल्लाह। सबसे पहले ईमान के बारे में कहा गया है कि ईमान को अव्वलियत हासिल है। फिर तकवा के बारे में कहा गया है। तकवा की जामे तारीफ में सूफ़ियों ने कहा कि- ‘ख़ुदा तुझे उस जगह न देखे जहां जाने से तूझे रोका है और उस जगह से कभी गैर हाजिर न पाए जहां जाने का हुक्म दिया है।’ फिर कहा गया कि सिर्फ हुसूले ईमान और वसूले तक़वा व तहारत ही काफी नहीं है बल्कि इसके बाद भी एक मरतबा है जिसे एहसान की तकमील कहते हैं, जो शैख़ की सोहबत से हासिल होता है।

यहां सबसे ज्यादा गौर करने वाली बात ये है कि अल्लाह ईमानवालों से बात कर रहा है। ये नहीं फ़रमा रहा कि सच्चों के साथ हो जाओ और ईमान ले आओ, बल्कि ये फ़रमा रहा है कि ईमान लाने के बाद भी अल्लाह से डरना और सच्चों की सोहबत ज़रूरी है।

हाजी इमदादुल्ला शाह महाजर मक्की रज़ी. और इमाम ग़ज़ाली रज़ी. फ़रमाते हैं कि हुजूर ﷺ फ़रमाते हैं- शैख़ अपने हल्कए मुरीदैन में इस तरह होता है, जिस तरह नबी अपनी उम्मत में होता है। (तसफिया-तुल-कुलूब:4) (इहयाउल उलूम)

हज़रत अबुतालिब मक्की रज़ी. फ़रमाते हैं कि बुजुरगाने दीन ने फ़रमाया – ‘जो नबी के साथ बैठना चाहे उसे चाहिए अहले तसव्वुफ़ की मजलिस व सोहबत इख्तियार करे। जिस तरह वहां नबी की सोहबत ज़रूरी है यहां भी इस के लिए शेख़ का होना ज़रूरी है। अगर शैखे कामिल की नज़र में हो और हर अमल फ़रमान के मुताबिक करे और अपने तमाम इख्तियार व इरादों को अपने शेख़ के दस्ते इख्तियार में दे दे तो बहुत जल्द मंजिले मकसूद व मकबूलियत हासिल होगी।’ (कुतुल कुलूब)

ग़ौसे आज़म अब्दुल क़ादिर जिलानी रज़ी. फ़रमाते हैं- ‘बेशक हक़ीक़त यही है कि अल्लाह की आदते जारिया है कि ज़मीन पर शैख़ भी हो और मुरीद भी, हाकिम भी हो और महकूम भी, ताबेअ भी हो और मतबूअ भी (इन्सान इस बात पर पुख्ता यक़ीन रखे) कि ये सिलसिला आदम अलैहिस्सलाम से क़यामत तक के लिए है’। (गुनियातुत तालेबीन:840)

शाह वलीउल्लाह मोहद्दिस देहलवी रज़ी. फ़रमाते हैं- ‘ज़ाहिरी तौर पर बिना मां-बाप के बच्चा नहीं हो सकता, ठीक उसी तरह बातिनी में बिना पीर के अल्लाह की राह मुश्किल है।’ और फ़रमाते हैं – ‘जिसका कोई पीर नहीं उसका पीर, शैतान है।‘  (अलइन्तेबाह:33)

‘हर मुरीद ये यकीन रखे कि बेशक तुम्हारा पीरे कामिल ही वो है जो अल्लाह से मिलाता है। तुम्हारा ताल्लुक अपने ही पीर के साथ पक्का हो, किसी दुसरे की तरफ न हो।’

शैख़ अब्दुल हक़ मोहद्दिस देहलवी रज़ी. फ़रमाते हैं-‘अपने पीर से मदद मांगना, हजरत मुहम्मद ﷺ से मदद मांगना है, क्योंकि ये उनके नाएब और जानशीन हैं। इस अक़ीदे को पूरे यक़ीन से अपने पल्लु बांध लो।’

हक़ीक़ी निजात के लिए अपने इबादत व मुजाहिदे से पहले मुर्शिद ज़रूरी है और सुननत-अल्लाह भी इसी तर्ज़ पर जारी है। इसी रहबरी में कामयाबी है।


क़ुरान में बैअत की अहमियत

बैअत की अहमियत के बारे में क़ुरान में है-

‘ऐ ईमानवालों! तुम अल्लाह से डरते रहो और उस तक पहुंचने का वसीला तलाश करो और उसकी राह में जिहाद करो ताकि तुम फलाहो कामयाब हो जाओ’ (क़ुरान-5:35)

इस आयत में पूरा तसव्वुफ़ ही सिमट आया है, यहां फलाहो कामयाबी के लिए चार बातें कही गयी हैं-

ईमान–  जुबान से इकरार करना और दिल से तस्दीक़ करना कि अल्लाह एक है और हुजूर ﷺ अल्लाह के रसूल हैं।

तक़वा–  अल्लाह ने जिस काम का हुक्म दिया उसे करना और जिस से मना किया है उस से परहेज़ करना।

वसीला–  अल्लाह के नेक बंदों की सोहबत इख्तियार करना और उनसे रहबरी हासिल करना।

जिहाद–  अपने नफ्स और अना (मैं) को अल्लाह की राह में मिटा देना।

Expanding Universe

The universe has been expanding ever since the Big Bang.

Astronomers just confirmed the existence of “Dark Energy”, a mysterious repulsive force that acts in opposite to gravity. As the distance increases, the attractive gravitational force decreases but this mysterious repulsive force increases. This repulsive force is pushing galaxies apart; the greater the distance the greater the repulsion. Scientists today do not know what this “Dark Energy” is, but they know that it is causing the entire universe to expand at an increasing rate.

[Quran 51.47] And the heaven, We built it with craftsmanship and We are still expanding.

(The Bible says that the sky is “hard as a mirror of cast bronze” Job 37:18. So the Bible insists on a static universe. Actually Albert Einstein’s famous blunder, the cosmological constant, was to explain the static universe. Although at that time no scientific evidence existed to support that claim, Einstein gave the Bible the benefit of the doubt and went for a static universe, non-expanding non-contracting. Later, when Edwin Hubble discovered the expansion of the universe, Einstein retracted this cosmological constant and called it the biggest blunder of his career. By trusting the Bible Einstein got it wrong by the order of 10120).
