THE PROVIDER OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COMPANY
His Companions used to recall what it was like being in his company. One of them said, “His gathering was a gathering of knowledge.”¹ Another said, “He used to give every attendant his due recognition, and none would feel that anyone was more honoured than him.”² A third said, “He would patiently attend to anyone who sat with him to discuss his need, and he would never take his leave until the person in need would get up first.”3
The Prophet was highly meticulous and respectable. He would never blow his nose or spit in front of others in his gatherings.4 Voices would not be raised;5 elders would be treated with honour and dignity and the young would be treated with love and kindness. The Prophet would not allow someone to be neglected or to be kept out of the gathering and he would not allow anyone’s honour or dignity to be violated. His beautiful gatherings were marked by honour and respect
