Hazret Shaykh Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi (may Allah be well pleased with him) is one of the Grand Masters of Tasawwuf (Sufism/Islamic Spirituality).  His works like “Al Futuhat Al Makkiyya and Fusus Al Hikam” are renowned masterpiece in the knowledge of Sufism.

Hazret Shaykh Ibn Arabi is known as “Shaykh Al Akbar” which means the greatest Shaykh (Spiritual knower of Allah the Mighty and Sublime).  The teachings of Hazret Ibn Arabi (Radiyallahu Anhu) illuminate the hearts of the seekers and disciples in the gnosis of God , and explores the hidden knowledge of Tawhid (Islamic monotheism) and Spirituality of Islam.

This are some excerpts from the biography of Hazret ibn Arabi (R.A) and his encounter with people of the Book (Christians and Jews).

Hazret Ibn Arabi (Radiyallahu Anhu) at a Church:

One day, one of Ibn Arabi’s opponents was taken sick, stayed in the home.The Shaykh went to visit the sick. he knocked the door and asked the sick man’s wife to inform him that he wished to meet him and pay his respects. The woman went to her husband and conveyed the message and returning to the Shaykh, told that her husband did  not wish to see him. The Shaykh had no business in this house, she told him. The proper place for him was the Church. The Shaykh thanked the women and said that since  a good man like her husband would certainly not send him to a bad place., he would comply with the suggestion. So after praying for his health and welfare of the sick man, the Shaykh departed for the Church.

When he arrived at the Church, he removed his shoes, entered with humble courtesy , and slowly and silently headed toward a corner, where he sat down. The priest was in the midst of delivering a sermon to which Hazret Ibn Arabi (Q.S) listened with the utmost attention. During the sermon, the Shaykh felt that the priest had slandered Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) by attributing to him the claim that he was son of God. The Shaykh stood up and courteously objected to this statement. “O venerable priest,” he began “Holy Jesus Christ did not say that. On the contrary, he foretold the good news of the arrival of the Prophet Ahmad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)”.

The priest denied that Jesus (Peace be upon him) had said this. The debate went on and on. Finally the Shaykh, pointing to the image of Jesus on the Church wall, told the priest to ask Jesus himself. He would answer and and decide the issue once and for all. The priest protested aggressively, pointing out that a picture could not speak. The picture would speak, the Shaykh insisted,for God, who had made Jesus speak while a baby in the arms of holy Virgin Mary (Peace be upon her), was able to make his picture as well. The congregation following the heated debate became excited at this statement . The priest was forced to turn to the image of Jesus and address it: “O son of God! Show us the true path tell us which of us is right in our claim.” With God’s Will , the picture spoke and answered: “I am not the son of God, I am His Messenger, and after me came the last of Prophets, the Holy Ahmad; I foretold that to you, and I repeat this good news now”.

With this miracle the whole congregation accepted Islam and, with Hazret Ibn Arabi leading them, marched through the streets to the Masjid. As they passed by the house of the sick man , he could be seen within , his eyes wide open in astonishment , looking out of the window at this curious sight. The saint stopped , and blessed and thanked the man who had insulted him, saying that he was to be praised for the salvation of all these people.

Question: You believe Prophet is everywhere, I think it is not Islamic belief, I feel that your Sufi beliefs are not Islamic, rather a mix of Islamic and Indian folk beliefs. Many Sunni Muslims I met does not belief Prophet is alive and he is everywhere. Therefore, I do not think you are not a Muslim and I think Sufism is not authentic Islam.What is your evidence for your claims?

Before answering your question in precise answer, I would like to say that I am a “Muslim”, and all main body of Muslims (the Ottomans,Abbasids) the Imams of the Sunni Islam, everyone acknowledge authentic Sufi Schools as part of Sunni Islam. Therefore, it is lack of understanding or does not want to accept truth , to say that Sufism is not Islam or Sufism and Islam are different things.

The Muslims who claimed to be Sunni, whom you have met, must be new sects like , Tablighs, salafists and wahhabis, whose doctrines, theology and belief are in contradiction to the traditional Sunni Islam which is formed through four authentic Sunni Schools (Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki and Hanbali), and due to this age of corruption and spreading of false schools of thoughts of this century, people mistook them as Sunnis and ignore the real founders of Sunni Schools, who were from Tabi’een (second generation) and thabi-thabi’een (third generation) from the Masters of Islamic scholarship from the pious Muslim predecessors of the Prophet Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa salam and his companions.

We have the History of Islam and Hadith preserved, the greater majority (the Main body and rulers, or Caliphs) they were followers of four Madhabs and Sufi schools.

In the entire History of Sunni Islamic Scholarship, we seldom find any “religious” scholars who were not Sufis. All of the Imams and righteous Caliphs of Islam who revered Sufi Shaykhs and promoted Sufi Ways to build the Islamic nation. Every noble person in Islamic world had followed Sufi Ways, until Wahhabism and other sects came to Islam deviated from the main body and disintegrated and divided Muslim Nation, who were formed and fed by the enemies of Islam and truth.

So if you have a disagreement on Sufi beliefs, and if someone has given you false information, then if you are a sincere student of knowledge, you have to verify it through the authentic sources, which is Quran and Sunnah (Hadiths and Examples of the Prophet Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa salam).

Since all those groups who claim to be Sunni and agree with the Quran, with Hadith books, namely “Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Jami Tirmidhi, Sunan Nasa’i, Sunan Ibn Majah, Muwatta Imam Malik and Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, as the deviated sects like Salafis publish and promote this Hadith books through their press, which is Darussalam Publishers and Distributors. I would like to provide you references from those books which are published and distorted (in comments sections) by this Wahhabis.

So my question is if Quran and Hadith answers directly, why they distorting the teachings of Quran and Hadith by writing their opinions after the words of Allah and of the Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam)?

 

SO THE ANSWER IS PROPHET MUHAMAMD (ALAIHISWALATHU WA SALAM) IS EVERYWHERE:

The Prophets and holy ones are called with the word: “Hadarath/ Hazret” which means one is present here. The saying Prophet is dead and not alive in the spiritual realm, is coming from unbelievers, not from Muslims.

What Quran says:

Quran 33:6 The Prophet is closer to the Believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. Blood-relations among each other have closer personal ties, in the Decree of Allah. Than (the Brotherhood of) Believers and Muhajirs: nevertheless do ye what is just to your closest friends: such is the writing in the Decree (of Allah).

Where is the Prophet (Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa Salam)?:

So the answer with context for the verse 33:6 which says Prophet is closer to the believers, than their own self…

can be given in a different approach, because those who claim they have the wisdom of Quran and Hadith, have nothing in them except misguidance and confusion!

It is Clear from the Quran and Hadith is that Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam) is Eternally with Allah Almighty as the Beloved of Allah.

Quran 53:9 And  (the Prophet) was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer;

Quran 53:12 So will you dispute with him over what he saw?

So those who are misguided disputing in a matter that is clear who believe in it are not double faced!

Quran 48:10  Verily, those who give Bai’a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad SAW) they are giving Bai’a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands.

So those who claim there is no hidden meaning of Quran and no further interpretations how do they take this verses then, by seeing direct meaning?

So Where is the Prophet’s Soul? (the Holy Spirit)?

This words can be found in  dozens of Hadiths in Bukhari and Muslim:

“Allah’s Apostle said, “By Him In whose Hands my Soul is”

Prophe Muhammad (alaiiswalathu wa salam) on the night of Journey saw Prophet Moses (Aalaihissalam) standing and praying on his grave.

Anas b. malik reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: I came. And in the narration transmitted on the authority of Haddib (the words are): I happened to pass by Moses on the occasion of the Night journey near the red mound (and found him) saying his prayer in his grave.  (Sahih Muslim,Book 30, Hadith 5858)

The Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam) also seen Prophet Musa (Moses Peace be upon him) in heaven when he (alaihiswalathu wa salam) ascended to the highest heavens and when he was returning from the Divine Presence.  See Sahih Muslim, Book 1 Hadith 313.

So, if the Prophet Moses (a.s) can be praying in his grave and later Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam) saw Prophet Moses (a.s) in heaven in more than two occasions and they had conversations in heavens, it is baseless to say that Prophets are dead and they cannot be more than in one place and cannot hear or listen, or help!

As for Prophet Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa Salam, whose Soul is in the Hand of Allah, He is Everywhere Present wherever his Lord is Present.

WHERE IS ALLAH’S HAND IN THAT THE SOUL OF PROPHET ALAIHISWALATHU WA SALAM?:

We are not attributing to Allah physical hands like Wahhabis and other misguided sects do, with the limitation of human languages we are trying to say the Superiority of Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam), and refuting those (Deviant Muslims) who say Prophet is an ordinary man and those who reject the Omnipresence of the Prophet (alaihswalathu wa salam)

Quran 39:67 They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him!

So, the Presence of the Soul of Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam) can be in all heavens and earth.

Those who foolishly say, Prophet is an ordinary man, I am asking them.
If 10 people speak to an ordinary man, can he understand what the 10 people saying at the same time?

Everyone greeting Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam with salutations (Salawat and Salam), and the Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam says , I hear your greetings and knows the one who greet me personally wherever he is.

So now, how can an ordinary man recognise millions and billions of salawat send by millions and billions of people every day?, Nut loose people wake up, don’t get drenched in the camp of Dajjal!

This deviated children who think they are scholars, always need references, because they are in confusion and misguidance.

Quran 33:56 Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

Sahih Bukhari: Narrated Abu Salama: ‘Aisha said that the Prophet said to her “O ‘Aisha’ This is Gabriel and he sends his (greetings) salutations to you.” ‘Aisha said, “salutations (Greetings) to him, and Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be on him,” and addressing the Prophet she said, “You see what I don’t see.”  (Sahih Bukhari,Book 54, Hadith 440)

So, now you may ask, do you believe your Shaykh is everywhere?. So now I saw, my Shaykh is where Prophet Muhamamd (alaihiswalathu wa salam) is, as it is stated:

Quran 48:29 : Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other.

Allah and His Messenger (alaihiswalathu wa Salam) are Closer to the Believers:

Quran 50:16 We created man, We know the prompting of his soul, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein.

Quran 33:6 The Prophet is closer to the Believers than their own selves,

This is what is called as the Fana Fillah (Spiritual Annihilation) of a Firm Believer (Mu’min), as also mentioned in your books

John 14:20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

THE EVIDENCE OF SEEING PROPHET (ALAIHSWALATHU WA SALAM) IN DREAM:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Name yourselves with my name (use my name) but do not name yourselves with my Kunya name (i.e. Abu-l Qasim). And whoever sees me in a dream then surely he has seen me for Satan cannot impersonate me. And whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally), then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire.”  (Sahih Bukhari Book 3, Hadith 110)

A person can see Prophet Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa salam in dream who live in India and someone else who live in Madinah also can see Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam in dream.
The salafi cleric Muhammad Muhsin Khan claimed he saw the Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam in dream, and Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam asked him to write translate Bukhari. Now, it is upto Wahhabis whether their acclaimed scholars saw Prophet alaihiswalathu wa salam in dream and he took that dream as a reason (authority to make decision) to do his work. So we ask those who don’t have any uniform tawheed or faith (protestant Muslims) to unify their faith and come to a common term between them. Every Wahabi have his own belief about same subject!. It is all a garbage of misguidance and error!

Prophet alaiahiswalathu wa salam can be seen in dream in America and at the same time He alaihiswalathu wa salam will be receiving salawat and salam at his blessed grave in Madinah, Arabia!

Finally, those who claim they understand Tawheed, which is the two testimonies of Faith (Kalimatu Shahadatain) they have not understood anything, except the misguidance and error from their ego!

This article is for those who have sound knowledge of the Quran and Hadith, those who pretend they have wisdom, let then be silent and submit to the truth!

And not everyone who is out there preaching Sufism, Salafism, Islam, Quran etc are a inheritor of the Knowledge of Divine Mysteries!

Ahle Hadith,Salafists and Wahhabists accuse shirk and bidah on Muslim for praying at the Graves of Prophets and Awliya Allah and asking for their Madad (Support) and Intercession .

Salafis who claim they follow Quran and Hadith does not really know what Quran/Hadith really Says!. Their Jahil behavior and abuse against pious Muslims and their followers caused Salafis to deviate from Islam and end up in Disbelief (Kufr)!

BUT SAHIH HADTIH SAYS: PROPHETS CAN HEAR US, THEY SPEAK TO EACH OTHER AND THEY ALL MEET EACH OTHER:
Answering Wahhabism:A Sahih Hadith Proves Prophets Seeing us hearing us and knowing us
Sunan Ibn Majah, Volume 5, Hadith 4081, Page 274 , Published by Darussalam Publications (Wahhabi Publication), Sahih Hadith:

Sunan IIbn Majah,Hadith No,4081: It was narrated thatAbdullah Ibn Masud said: “On the Night on which the Messenger of Allah (alaihiswalathu wa salam) was taken on the night of Journey (Isra), he met Ibrahim Musa and Esa (peace be up on them), and they discussed the Hour. They started with Ibrahim and asked him about it, but he did not have any knowledge of it, then they asked Musa, and he did not have any knowledge of it. Then they asked Esa Ibn Maryam, and he said,: “I have been assigned to some tasks before it happens. As for as when it take place, no one knows that except Allah. Then he mentioned Dajjal (Anti_Christ) and said:’I will descend and kill him,, then the people will turn to their own lands and will be confronted with God and Magog people,who will “Swoop down from every mound. They will not pass by any water but they will drink it. They (the people) Beseech Allah , and I will pray Allah to Kill them. The earth will be filled with their stench and (the people) will beseech Allah) and I will pray to Allah, then the sky will send down rain that that will carry them and throw them in the sea.
Then the mountains will turn dust to dust and the earth will be stretched out like a hide. I have been promised that when that happens, the Hour Will come up on the people, like a pregnant woman whose family does not know when she will suddenly give birth”

(One of the narrators) ‘Awwam Said: Confirmation of that is found in the Book of Allah, where Allah says: “Until, when Gog and Magog people are let loose (from their barrier) , and they swoop down from every mound”
(Sahih)

In the above Hadith we see these points:

• Prophet (s.a.w) met Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Musa and Prophet Esa Ibn Maryam (peace be up on them)
• Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and Prophet Isa (A.S), are only Physically alive in that time. Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) and Prophet Moses (A.S) were passed away and were in grave too!
• Here, two physically alive Prophets (Prophet Muhammad s.a.w and Prophet Jesus A.S) discussing with two Prophets (Prophet Musa A.S and Prophet Ibrahim A.S) who are alive in the graves.
• The Prophets were spiritually present in more than one place. For instance, Prophet Abraham (A.S) and Prophet Moses (A.S) were present in their graves , in heavens and in the barzaq (world of Souls) as another hadith narates Prophet (s.a.w) saying: ” I saw Prophet Moses standing and praying in his graves.
