Hazrat Sayyidina Muhammad Al Maghrabi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ)

Al Maghrabi Mosque, Qena City

He is the Sayyid Altayib, son of the Sayyid Muhamad, son of Idrees, nephew of Ahmed bin Idrees.

He was born (May God be pleased with him) in Morocco and came with his paternal uncle to the lands of the east. He accompanied his uncle in all his travels. After his uncle passed away in Sibya, Yemen he came back to the village of Alzaynia in Upper Egypt. He then went to the town of Al Maseed, center of Qoos at the time but now is part of Luxor. Finally he moved to Qena and settled there where he instructed students in the old mosque and when he passed he was buried in it. The mosque is named after him.
