ANGELS AND THE DEVIL

If you ask people what comes to their mind when they hear the word
“angel,” a majority of them will say “devil.” All derivatives of these
two interrelated words (angel/devil) are used in the Quran 88 times
each. It is interesting to note that the most frequent form of these two
words, “al-shaytan” and “al-melaike,” are used 68 times each in the
Quran. Two examples for these words:

35-The Originator, 6
12- Thus, your Lord inspired the angels.
8-The Spoils of War, 12
