Allahumma Swalli Alaa Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Ala Aali Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Sallim

This article aimed to to explain Islamic view on Celebrations and Feasts. Some scholars in Islam Channel and other Wahhabi networks spreading corrupt information about Islamic belief about Celebrations. So for those who intent to become “Rabbaniyyun” (Godly persons)” , must seek the correct knowledge and practice it and shun all forms of misguidance and innovations preached by corrupt scholars!

The Myth of Only Two Eids for Muslims:

The innovators from the misguided sects, says Muslims have only two days of celebrations (Eid Al Fithr and Eid Al Ad’ha) and all celebrations are innovations!

The Truth:

There is no evidence in Quran and Sunnah which prohibit Muslims celebrating other days to thank Allah for His Mercy and His Blessings which comes to a person/his family/the society.

If so , the innovators must make make fatwa (religious verdict) that Saudis celebrating national day is an act of Bidha and since all Bidha is a misguidance and all misguidance are in hell fire.

Because there is no evidence that Sahaba (salafs) celebrated the establishment of Islamic Caliphates!
Reference: On the authority of Abu Najeeh al-’Irbaad ibn Saariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:

IMITATING THE PREVIOUS PROPHETS AND THEIR CORRECT FOLLOWERS, NOT DEVIANTS IN THEIR NATION NOR DEVIANTS AMONG THIS NATION:

CELEBRATIONS IN QURAN:

Quran 5:114 Said Jesus the son of Mary: “O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us – for the first and the last of us – a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs).”

Eid Al Fithr and Eid Al Ad’ha are Ritual Celebrations, Which is Appointed For the Whole Nation:

Quran 22:67 To every People have We appointed rites and ceremonies which they must follow: let them not then dispute with thee on the matter, but do thou invite (them) to thy Lord: for thou art assuredly on the Right Way.

22:34 To every people did We appoint rites (of sacrifice), that they might celebrate the name of Allah over the sustenance He gave them from animals (fit for food). But your god is One God: submit then your wills to Him (in Islam): and give thou the good news to those who humble themselves,-

So if the deviants and innovators aere stubborn on this issue that more than two celebrations (eids) are haram (Prohibited) and Bidha (innovation) , then such false claims contradicts the following verses of Quran:

Quran 21:20 They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit.

For Deviants and Innovators, Sun may rise only 2 days every year and rest days their hearts are in Darkness! But believers take every opportunity to celebrate the Praise of Allah (Alhamdulillah) for the favors they received and will commemorate it in every year or as they can do.

20:130 Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

They have no Spiritual Joy, they are deprived of Spirituality and Truth!

Prophet Moses (A.S) and believers (Muslims) celebrating the victory over Magicians:

Quran 20:59 Moses said: “Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up.”

20:33 “That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,

So according to deviants and innovators interpretation, Muslims are only those who follow Muhammad alaihiswalathu wa salam and his sahaba (Companions) according to Quran and Hadith. So Why Quran mentions about the celebration of previous Prophets and their nations?.

Quran 19:11 So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah’s praises in the morning and in the evening.

The Believers and unbelievers (other than atheists and Satanists) celebrate God’s praise, though their beliefs about the Essence of God may be wrong.

Quran 17:44 The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein, declare His glory: there is not a thing but celebrates His praise; And yet ye understand not how they declare His glory! Verily He is Oft-Forbear, Most Forgiving!

15:98 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.

Though you may celebrate the praise of God and share with all those who participate, but be among the people who prostrate.  And celebration can attract others to the faith of prostration (Islam).

7:206 Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain not to do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and prostrate before Him.

ZIKR ASSEMBLIES LIKE MAWLID CELEBRATIONS AND HALQA (GATHERINGS OF SPIRITUAL CIRCLES) IN QURAN:

I heard  a few days ago in “Islam Channel” a so called scholar saying Zikr gatherings are Bidha!, I am sorry for the fate of Muslim Ummah to listen to this kind of nonsense! The program begin and take break with verse: 4:59 : “Oh You have believed Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger and those who are in authority among you”.

I would like to ask this Islam Channel and it’s Scholars, who gave you authority?, Allah and His Messenger alaihiswalathu wa salam? or the Pharaohs, Herod (s) and Yazeeds of this times? 

3:191 Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): “Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.

Quran 4:103 When ye pass (Congregational) prayers, celebrate Allah’s praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down on your sides; but when ye are free from danger, set up Regular Prayers: For such prayers are enjoined on believers at stated times.

I suggest the corrupt scholars of Islam channel question and answer program take heed and gain wisdom of Quran.

Celebrate the Mercy of Allah when you feel Secure:

2:239 If ye fear (an enemy), pray on foot, or riding, (as may be most convenient), but when ye are in security, celebrate Allah’s praises in the manner He has taught you, which ye knew not (before).

What are the Islamic Manners in Celebrations?

It is to speak Good and Spend Good and treat people well. (This are the summary of Quran and Hadith on model behavior)

MARRIAGE AS A CELEBRATION:

Quran 2:221 Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters), until they believe: A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though she allures you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though he allures you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the Fire. But Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind: That they may celebrate His praise.

Marriage is a celebration in Islam, it is celebrated upto three days depends on the financial as well as other situations are considered. Wedding banquet (Waleema) are also served.

Quran 2:200 So when ye have accomplished your holy rites, celebrate the praises of Allah, as ye used to celebrate the praises of your fathers,

The Invalidity of Innovators and Deviants claim that Muslims can have only two Eid:

33:41 O ye who believe! Celebrate the praises of Allah, and do this often;

25:50 And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude.

41:38 But is the (Unbelievers) are arrogant, (no matter): for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it).

JUMA IS THE DAY OF EID (CELEBRATION):
62:10 (Sura Juma) And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.

How do innovators justify Quran as a guidance to all Mankind, when they reject other types of eids except the two Eids?

CELEBRATIONS IN HADITH:

Fasting on the Day of Asshura: (sahih Bukhari):

ASHURA FASTING NOT IMITATING THE UNBELIEVERS:
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, “This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day.” The Prophet said, “We have more claim over Moses than you.” So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). (Book #31, Hadith #222)

The Hadith about imitating the unbelievers does not mean it is following the ways of Previous Prophets. The innovators have misunderstood Muslims following the ways of other Prophets and imitating the unbelievers (Jews and Christians)!
The above hadith is clear proof that there is no prohibition to practice a good deed or a style that is practiced by the nation of previous Prophets if it is not forbidden in Quran and Hadith as well as in previous Books!

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina he found that the Jews observed fast on the day of ‘ashura’. They were asked the reason for the fast. They replied, “This is the day when Allah caused Moses and the children of Israel to have victory over Pharaoh, so we fast on this day as a sign of glorifying it.” Allah’s Apostle said, “We are closer to Moses than you.” Then he ordered that fasting on this day should be observed. (Book #58, Hadith #279)
ASHURA FASTIING CELEBRATION OF MOSES’S (A.S) VICTORY: ANOTHER MUSLIM EID

Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on ‘ashura’ (10th of Muharram) and they said, “This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh,” On that, the Prophet said to his companions, “You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses’ victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day.” (Book #60, Hadith #202)

Innovators say, Muslims have only two days of celebrations (Eid Al Fithr and Eid Al Azd-ha), but this hadith contradicts with the belief of innovators!.
I am taking this opportunity to remind Islam channel for misleading and confusing Muslims by giving innovators to speak on Maslak of Islam!.

FRIDAY AS EID (DAY OF CELEBRATION)

Sahih Bukhari,Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) saying, “We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews’ (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians’ (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday).”  (Book #13, Hadith #1)

ZIKR GATHERING AS A CELEBRATION TO PRAISE ALLAH:

A Scholar in Islam Channel said, it is bidha to gather for loud Zikr!, and this corrupt and misguided scholars are portrayed as “ulool Amri minkum”

The Celebration involve, Zikr, salawat, sohbet (a spiritually enlightening talk) then serving of Food.

Sahih Bukhari:  Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah ‘s Apostle said, “Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other, saying, “Come to the object of your pursuit.’ ” He added, “Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world.” He added. “(after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels)—-though He knows better than them—-‘What do My slaves say?’ The angels reply, ‘They say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, Allah then says ‘Did they see Me?’ The angels reply, ‘No! By Allah, they didn’t see You.’ Allah says, How it would have been if they saw Me?’ The angels reply, ‘If they saw You, they would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.’ Allah says (to the angels), ‘What do they ask Me for?’ The angels reply, ‘They ask You for Paradise.’ Allah says (to the angels), ‘Did they see it?’ The angels say, ‘No! By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.’ Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?’ The angels say, ‘If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek It with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.’ Allah says, ‘From what do they seek refuge?’ The angels reply, ‘They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.’ Allah says, ‘Did they see it?’ The angels say, ‘No By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.’ Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?’ The angels say, ‘If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.’ Then Allah says, ‘I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them.”‘ Allah’s Apostle added, “One of the angels would say, ‘There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.’ Allah would say, ‘These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.’ ”  (Book#75, Hadith #417)

MAKKAH VICTORY- A DAY OF CELEBRATION:
Sahih Muslim: ‘A’isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) recited often these words: Hallowed be Allah and with His praise, I seek the forgiveness of Allah and return to Him. She said: I asked: Messenger of Allah, I see that you often repeat the saying” subhan allahi bihamdihi astag firullahi watubuilaih” whereupon he said: My Lord informed me that I would soon see a sign in my Ummah, so when I see it I often recite (these) words: Hallowed be Allah and with His Praise, I seek forgiveness of Allah and return to Him. Indeed I saw it (when this verse) was revealed:” When Allah’s help and victory came, it marked the victory of Mecca, and you see people entering into Allah’s religion in troops, celebrate the praise of Thy Lord and ask His forgiveness. Surely He is ever returning to Mercy.”  (Book #004, Hadith #0984) (Bukhari  Book #60, Hadith#494)

CELEBRATION AFTER CONGREGATIONAL SALAH (OBLIGATORY RITUAL PRAYERS):
Sahih Bukhari: Narrated Abu Ma’bad: (the freed slave of Ibn ‘Abbas) Ibn ‘Abbas told me, “In the lifetime of the Prophet it was the custom to celebrate Allah’s praises aloud after the compulsory congregational prayers.” Ibn ‘Abbas further said, “When I heard the Dhikr, I would learn that the compulsory congregational prayer had ended.”  (Book #12, Hadith #802)

CELEBRATIONS AFTER PRAYERS:

Sahih Bukahri Narrated Mujahid: Ibn Abbas said, “Allah ordered His Prophet to celebrate Allah’s praises after all prayers.” He refers to His Statement: ‘After the prayers.’ (50.40)  (Book #60, Hadith #375)

PERMISSION TO SELECT WHATEVER A MUSLIM LIKE TO CELEBRATE ALLAH’S PRAISE FROM HALAL THINGS:
Narrated ‘Abdullah: We used to say in the prayer: ‘AsSalam be on Allah, As-Salam be on so-and so.’ So one day the Prophet said to us, “Allah Himself is As-Salam; when anyone of you sits during his prayer, he should say: ‘At-tah, iyyatu-lillahi,’ up to ‘As-Salihin,’ (All the compliments are for Allah …righteous people) for when he recites this, then he says his Salam to all the righteous people present in the heavens and on the earth. Then he should say, ‘I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and His Apostle,’ and then he can select whatever he likes to celebrate (Allah’s) Praises.”  (Book #75, Hadith #340)

So if a Man begot a son, so he wish to celebrate and thank Allah for that favor, he may choose to give people (halal food) feast and celebrate the praise of Allah. Even Salah (obligatory prayers) are given choices to a believer to recite from what is allowed.

CELEBRATION AFTER RECITING MOST DISTINGUISHED VERSES OF QURAN:
Ibn ‘Abbas reported that while Gabriel was sitting with the Apostle (may peace be upon him) he heard a creaking sound above him. He lifted his head and said: This As a gate opened in heaven today which had never been opened before. Then when an angel descended through it, he said: This is an angel who came down to the earth who had-never come down before. He greeted and said: rejoice in two lights given to you which have not been given to any prophet before you: Falihat al-Kitab and the concluding verses of Suarah al-Baqara. You will never recite a letter from them for which you will not be given (a reward).  (SAHIH MUSLIM Book #004, Hadith #1760)

Sunan Abu Dawood:  Narrated Ibn Abzi: Ubayy ibn Ka’b) said: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) read the verse: “Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy–in that let you rejoice: that is better than the wealth you hoard.”  (Book#30, Hadith #3970)
REJOICE AND CELEBRATE OVER GLAD TIDINGS OF THE HEREAFTER:

 Sunan Abu Dawood Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri: I was sitting in the company of the poor members of the emigrants. Some of them were sitting together because of lack of clothing while a reader was reciting to us. All of a sudden the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) came along and stood beside us. When the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) stood, the reader stopped and greeted him. He asked: What were you doing? We said: Apostle of Allah! We had a reader who was reciting to us and we were listening to the Book of Allah, the Exalted. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then said: Praise be to Allah Who has put among my people those with whom I have been ordered to stay. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then sat among us so as to be like one of us, and when he had made a sign with his hand they sat in a circle with their faces turned towards him. The narrator said: I think that the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) did not recognize any of them except me. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then said: rejoice, you group of poor emigrants, in the announcement that you will have perfect light on the Day of Resurrection. You will enter Paradise half a day before the rich, and that is five hundred years.  (Book #25, Hadith #3658)

REJOICING OVER LOVE HARMONY AND BROTHERLY RELATIONS:

Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “If Allah loves a slave, he says to Jibril, ‘I love so-and-so, so love him,’ so Jibril loves him and then calls out to the people of heaven, ‘Allah loves so-and-so, so love him,’ and the people of heaven love him, and then acceptance is placed in the Earth for him.” When Allah is angry with a slave, Malik said, “I consider that he says the like of that about His anger.” Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Hazim ibn Dinar that Abu Idris al-Khawlani said, “I entered the Damascus mosque and there was a young man with a beautiful mouth and white teeth sitting with some people. When they disagreed about something, they referred it to him and proceeded from his statement. I inquired about him, and it was said, ‘This is Muadh ibn Jabal.’ The next day I went to the noon-prayer, and I found that he had preceded me to the noon prayer and I found him praying.” Abu Idris continued, “I waited for him until he had finished the prayer. Then I came to him from in front of him and greeted him and said, ‘By Allah! I love you for Allah!’ He said, ‘By Allah?’ I said, ‘By Allah.’ He said, ‘By Allah?’ I said, ‘By Allah.’ He said, ‘By Allah?’ I said, ‘By Allah.’ ” He continued, “He took me by the upper part of my cloak and pulled me to him and said, ‘rejoice! I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, “Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said, ‘My love is obliged for those who love each other in Me, and those who sit with each other in Me, and those who visit each other in Me, and those who give to each other generously in Me.’ ” ‘ ”  (Muwatta of Imam Malik Book#51, Hadith #51.5.15)

So we see that Rejoicing and Celebrating over that Joy to thank Allah and Praise Him for what goodness have come to us, has more scope than just two eids!.

QURAN AND HADITH WARNING ABOUT INNOVATORS WHO LIMIT THE CELEBRATIONS TO TWO EID!

32:15 Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.

39:23 Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah’s praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.

Quran 39:22 Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah! they are manifestly wandering (in error)!

INNOVATORS  WHO PROHIBIT ZIKR ASSEMBLIES AND SPIRITUAL GATHERINGS:

Quran 2:114 And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of Allah, Allah’s name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.

HADITH SAHIH BUKHARI:

Hadith:  Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, “The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one.”  (Book #75, Hadith #416)

So wake up people.Be Rabbaniyyin. Do not get fooled by innovators and misguided and corrupt scholars!
