
THE TEACHER OF HYGIENE
Prophet Muhammad would teach his followers to observe high standards of hygiene. He encouraged them to wash avoided I before every prayer and to clean their mouth. He food that caused strong odours such as onions, and commanded people to have a bath and wear clean clothes when coming to the mosque for the Friday prayer.³ He also taught his followers to observe cleanliness after visiting the toilet and to take care from getting one’s body or clothes sullied.4 From his practices, he would wash his hands before eating and wash them afterwards.5
