Hazrat Ali’s achievement during the first efforts for the spread of Islam

During the 4th message through Verse, “Relieve your nears and dears ones from the anger of Allah,” that, he should spread Islam among his kiths and kins so that they can be freed from the wrath of Allah, the Almighty. In this connection, he told Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam, “Please make arrangements to invite (to accept Islam) our relatives.” This was the first incident of such invitation for acceptance of Islam, and Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam was only 13. But, inspite of his young age of 13, he managed the whole programme very nicely. All the members of Hazrat Abu Talib were invited. There were forty people, including Hazrat Abu Talib, Hazrat Hamza Hazrat Abbas and Abu Lahab, who accepted the invitation and presented themselves in the meeting. When the dinner was over, Huzur Nabi Pakﷺ stood up and addressed them, “I have brought for you a treasure which is very useful in this and the other world. Who would support me in shouldering this responsibility?” The whole assembly was quiet, and suddenly Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam rose and said, “Though my views are not yet mature, my body is weak, my age is also not very much advanced, yet, I am with you.

It was a wonderful scene for the Quresh where two persons, one of whom was only 13 years old adolescent, were deciding about the future of the whole world. The people present there broke into laughter, but the time to come proved that it was pure and universal truth. Tarikh-e-Tibri pg #1272 quotes that after Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam reply,

Nabi Pakﷺ repeated the same verses, i.e. “I have brought for you a treasure which is very useful in this and the world after. Who would support me in shouldering this responsibility?” Then Hazrat Ali AlaihisSalam decided to support and stand with Nabi Pakﷺ utterances wholeheartedly. On this, Huzur Nabi Pak ﷺ said, “Ali, please sit down. You are my brother, heir and follower of my knowledge .
