His grandfather Habeeb Shaykh, the another great scholar, gnostic and saint of Allah who had made City of Ahmedabad, India as his residence a long ago, was keenly observing his grandson from faraway called Habeeb Muhammad into his presence. The young and dynamic 19 years old Habeeb Muhammad reached Ahmedabad in the year 989 A.H and met his grandfather.
Habeeb Muhammad, stood in the company of his grandfather for years seeking knowledge, spirituality, attending to his lessons in the crowd and loneliness. He studied hundreds of books, traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Sciences of Hadith, Tafsir, Fiqh and many other subjects, texts and commentaries in the presence of Habeeb Shaykh.
Through his dedication and sincerity, he attained the highest rank amongst the students and disciples of Habeeb Shaykh, who were in the services years before Habeeb Muhammad had arrived. It wasn’t any scheme but a well written destiny which had to be fulfilled through this great man, thus, He became one of the highest intellects of Knowledge and Wisdom and also reached to such a positions of Spiritual Wayfaring that none had tread those paths before. Witnessing all the ancestral skills and expertise in Habeeb Muhammad, his Grandfather i.e. Habeeb Shaykh selected him to be his Vicegerent and Heir, thereby transferring his pedigree, Clothing him with Khirqah (Cloak), inculcating and granting permissions in everything he had achieved from his Masters. After having sat on his Grandfather’s position, Habeeb Muhammad continued the services of teaching, guidance, calling to Allah and serving the creation. He used to feed hundreds of people and spend on those in need each day. He had helped a lot of people of India and Hadhramaut equally, from which each one of high and low had benefited. He always had maintained his relationships with all those people of Hadhramaut and India who had came and visited him even once in a lifetime, which he continued to do till his last breaths.
