The “Jinn” of the Battlefield: Dhiraar ibn al-Azwar ⚔️
History knows him as the “Half-Naked Warrior.” A man so fearless that he became the Roman Empire’s greatest nightmare.
The Real Story: According to historical records (Futuh al-Sham), Dhiraar ibn al-Azwar had a terrifying habit. Mid-battle, he would strip off his armor and shirt, charging into enemy lines bare-chested. He did this to move with lightning speed and to show he had zero fear of death.
Why “Jinn”? At the Battle of Ajnadayn, he single-handedly slaughtered 12 elite Roman commanders while unprotected. Watching him cut through thousands of soldiers without a scratch, the terrified Romans screamed that he wasn’t human—they believed they were fighting a Jinn.
