SAMUEL
After gaining hold of the new territory, Bani Israel were governed by the clergy in accordance with the laws laid down by Moses in the Torah. After a while they started to dream about a kingdom of their own, just as other people around them had. God appointed Samuel prophet to Bani Israel. Samuel was a descendant of Ephraim (a son of Joseph).
1) their kit The people made Saul (Taalut) their king. However, Saul was unable to govern the people well and was not obedient to Samuel. God took the kingdom away from Saul and gave it to David (Da ud).
Samuel is not named in the Qur’an, but a reference is made in Sura Baqarah without his name. Taalut is known as Saul in Torah.
