■ LESSONS OF MUKTUBAT RABBANI
Is Everything Just a Reflection?
You know when you stand in front of a mirror, and your reflection looks back at you? It’s you, but it’s not really you—it’s just a copy, an illusion. Now, imagine the entire universe is like that—a grand mirror reflecting the divine names and attributes of Allah ﷻ.
Hazrat Mujaddid Alif Thani (ر) explained this beautifully: creation is not absolute existence, nor absolute nothingness. It’s something in between—just like a seed that holds the entire tree within it, but you can’t see it yet.
In Sufi Lughwa, “wine” means divine love. It makes you lose yourself, just like real wine makes people lose their senses.
It wipes out worldly worries and calculations (Aql-e-Ma’ash).
It sharpens the mind that understands the eternal (Aql-e-Mi’ad).
Hazrat Sanai (ر) and Mawlana Rumi (ر) both said:
❝ If you truly drink this wine, you’ll stop existing as “you”—and instead, you’ll be lost in Allah ﷻ. ❞
(And trust me, that’s the best kind of loss!)
There are two ways Allah ﷻ creates things:
1. The Slow Process (Alam-e-Khalq) – Like how the world, the sky, and everything in it took time to form.
2. The Instant Command (Alam-e-Amr) – When Allah ﷻ says “Kun!” (Be!) and boom—it just exists, like souls and spiritual realities.
Deep inside your chest, there are five spiritual centers (Lata’if) that connect you to the unseen world. And Each one has its own glow:
Qalb (Heart) – Yellow Light
Ruh (Soul) – Red Light
Sirr (Secret) – White Light
Khafi (Hidden) – Black Light
Akhfa (Most Hidden) – Green Light
(Sounds like a mystical energy system, but No wonder the Sufis are always glowing!)
So… Are We Just Shadows?
Ever seen a tree’s shadow on the ground? Or your reflection in water? It looks real, but it’s just a copy. That’s us!
We’re all reflections of Allah’s ﷻ divine light—nothing more, nothing less.
So next time you stand in front of a mirror, just smile and say:
“I am nothing… just a shadow of something greater!”
Now, go sip on some Sufi wine (a.k.a. divine love) and let yourself get lost in the beauty of it all.
