
Name, Lineage and Title
Hazrat Saiyedna Ali bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Musa bin Jafar was the tenth of the twelve Imams. His lineage is Abul Hasan. He was being addressed as Abul Hasan Sani also. His titles were ‘Hadi’ and ‘Askari’ which are popular.
Name of his Holy Mother
His holy mother was Umm e Valad named as Sumanah. It is said that she was the maidservant of Umme Fazal Mamun-ul-Rashid.
His Holy Birth
He was born on 13th Rajab-ul-Mu’arajjab, Hijri 214 at Medina Munavvara.
His Final Departure
He left this finite world during the reign of The Arab followed him. When the Arab met, Hazrat Ali Hadiøė asked, “With what purpose have you come?” He said. “I keep relation with the people, who are connected with your ancestors Hazrat Haider Karartä who always kept promises. I am bound with a too big debt to be performed. I do not find any person who may take away my burden.“ Hazrat Ali Hadi said, “Do not be disheartened.” He asked him to stay where he stayed. In the next morning, he told the Arab, “See! I am going to tell you something. It should be obligatory for you not to have any difference of opinion with that.” The Arab begged, “I will not. O` Hazrat! I will not have any negative opinion for any of your statements. ” He wrote in a letter, “Give this much money to this Arab, because, he has much more debt to pay.”
Then he wrote this letter and said, “Take this letter. When I return and sit in the court, ask me about the payment of the debt. You may talk about some other, casual matters also. Of course, do not go against my instructions.” Arab promised to follow his instructions and took the letter in his hand. When Hazrat Hadis returned Sarr Man Rai, there were many gracious people with him in his service. The Arab also came there and, presented the letter to the court announcing his purpose. Hazrat HadiAß spoke very softly and put his help to pay the Arab’s debt. When the Caliph Mutawakkil came to know about the whole matter, he said, “Please accept these thirty Dirhams, which I present in your service.” When the Dirhams were given to him, he kept them with him with the utmost care. When the Arab came, he said, “O’ Arabi! Take this and repay your debt. Whatever is left, you may spend for your children. Consider me to be a poor, helpless man.” When Arabi heard this, he said, “O holy child of Rasulallah, I expected ½ less amount of my request. But, the real fact is, it is only Allah, the Almighty, who knows where the things are going to be used.
