The Deputation of Ghassan Volume 1, Parts II.74.66 He (Ibn Sa’d) said: Muhammad Ibn Umar informed us; he said: Yahya Ibn 'Abd Allah Ibn Abi Qatadah informed us on the authority of Muhammad Ibn Bukayr al-Ghassani, he on the authority of his people of the Ghassan; they said: We arrived before the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, in the month of Ramadan of the tenth year, at al-Madinah, and we were three persons. We stayed in the house of Ramlah Bint al-Harith. All the members of the deputations of Arabia were testifying to (the Prophethood of) Muhammad, may Allah bless him; so we said to each other: 'Will the Arabs seeing us find us the worst of them? Then we came to the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, and embraced Islam. We testified and bore witness to what he had brought to be true; we said: We do not know if our people will follow us. The Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, gave them rewards and they returned and reached their people. They did not respond to their appeal, so they concealed their Islam until two of them passed away; the third of them metUmar Ibn alKhattab in the battle of al-Yarmuk. He, met Abu ‘Ubaydah and informed him about his islam so he showed respect to him.

Miraculous circumstances during his final exit
Mamun’s slave, Harnum-bin-Amin, who used to be in the service of Hazrat Imam Ali Raza, told, “One day Hazrat Imam Ali Raza called
me and said, ‘Today I am going to tell you a secret, which, you keep only to yourself till I am alive. If you do not do so, on the Day of Judgement, I will question you.’ I promised on oath that I would not divulge the fact till his death. Then he said, ‘O’ Harnum! Very shortly, I am going to die. Very soon, I am going to meet my ancestors. Indication of my death will be, I will eat grapes and pomegranate from the caliph, and I will die. The caliph at that time would wish that my grave should be dug behind that of his father, Harun Rashid and I should be buried there. But, by the Divine Order, the land there would be hardened, and the spade would fail to dig. The grave would not be dug. O’ Harnum! You remember, my burial will be at that particular place.’ Then, he showed me that place. He also instructed me to inform the caliph all about these facts before the funeral is ready and to make a little delay in offering funeral prayer. He said, ‘An Arab, riding on a she-camel will come from the forest side. The she-camel will deliver a young-one. The rider will unmount and offer a prayer for me. All of you also join him. Dig my grave at the spot I have shown you. You will find a grave there where there is white water at its bottom. When all the layers are opened and the water, disappeared, take that place to be my grave, and, bury me there.’ After some days, he ate grapes and pomegranate from the caliph and passed away.” Harnum describes, “After his death when I went to caliph Mamun, he saw that Mamun was weeping on Hazrat Ali Raza’s sad demise and with a hankey in his hand, was wiping the tears from his face. I told him, ‘O, Amir-ulMominin, there is a point. If you permit, I may keep that before you. He said, ‘Yes, go on.’ Then I told him all the details Hazrat Imam Ali Raza had told me. When Mamun heard, he was wonder-struck and was very sorry. He asked people to make preparation for the burial of the holy body. According to Hazrat Imam Ali Raza’s instruction, the final prayer was delayed a little. Suddenly a camel-rider came there, offered the prayer and set to go. He neither looked at anybody nor talked to anyone. The caliph ordered to bring that person before him. But he was not to be found anywhere. The caliph for the sake of confirmation, ordered to dig a grave behind that of Harun Rashid. But the surface was harder than stone. Everyone was tired, and none could dig it. Then, he ordered to dig at the place, Hazrat Imam Ali Raza had indicated. As he had prophesied, a ready grave was found with white running water. Finally, he was buried at the very place he indicated in his will.”
Maulana Jami also has given description wherein; the same fact is supported. According to his description, he had said, “The grave will be filled with water. Small fish will be born in it. Give them the pieces of the bread I am giving you now. The fish will eat it all and then; a big fish will come, which will eat all the small ones. When all the fish disappear, keep hands over the water and recite the following verse which I told you now. The water will be evaporated.” your
