Aala Hazrat Sayyid Shah Muhammed Nawaaz Zaidi Al Waasiti Rehmatullahialaih

Aala Hazrat Sayyid Shah Muhammed Nawaaz Zaidi Al Waasiti Rehmatullahialaih muuris-e-aa’laa Saadaat e Nawazpura.

He was related to Sadat-e-Jaajneri Zaidi, he is the descendant of Hazrat Abu Farah Waasiti and he was also the Mir Bakshi of Tattha (Sindh) during Aurangzeb’s Mughal Empire.

Nawazpura is a village in the neighborhood of my grandfather’s village DharsoN and the wife of my grandfather Hazrat Syed Kamaluddin Mian Shah Hamza also belonged to the same village i.e. Sadat-e-Jaajneri Zaidi.

His shrine is now located in Nawazpura, Narnaul Haryana India. The people of Nawazpura are celebrating Urs today with great devotion.

It’s really touching to hear that Hazrat Sayyid Muhammed Nawaz and all the Sadat of Nawazpura had so much love for Ahl-e-Bait and used to commemorate of Ahl-e-Bait in the month of Muharram by holding mourning processions in Ashurkhanas. It’s unfortunate that these traditions have stopped after the partition of India and Pakistan.

It’s our wish that these traditions are revived and mourning is held in the same way as before.

His titles were Sa’abir, Sa’aleh, Amin, Ash’har and Ka’zim.

Holy Parents

His holy father was Hazrat Imam Jafar Saadiq, and holy mother was Hazrat Um Valid Bibi Hamidah Barbary. (Masa’alik-ul-Sa’alikin and Ja’ame-ul-mana’aqib and Maz-ul-Baherin)

Virtues

He is the seventh Imam of the Qadiriya tradition of Sufism. His inherent genius and gifted virtues combined with the enlightened guidance and education from Hazrat Imam Jafar showed in the manifestation of his future personality. He was so pious and had such a strong faith in the Almighty, Allah, that at times, people used to come to him, requests him to pray for them. And, the prayer would be accepted by Allah. It was for this that people addressed him as the vestibule of the fulfilment of the prayers. Even after his death, his shrine is taken to be the centre for the fulfilment of all prayers. Hazrat Imam Shafi’i used to say that Hazrat Musa Kazim’s shrine also had that miraculous element in it. So, the prayers to Allah, made at his shrine, used to be granted. His holy father Hazrat Imam Jafar says, “Musa Kazim is the best among my children. It is one of Allah’s gems.” It has written in Sava’aik Moharak etc. that once Caliph Harun Rashid asked him, “When you, yourself are one of Hazrat Ali’s children, why do you call yourself descendent of Rasul-eKhuda? And the relation of a man goes through paternal grandfather and not maternal one. In reply to this, he narrated following Quranic verses(84-85) of Surah Al-Anaam,

He further said that Hazrat Isa did not have a father, and in the following verse, Allah has affiliated him in the chain of Prophets through his mother. In the same way, he added that they also are descendent of Rasul-e-Khuda through their mother. The another argument be
presented for his validation of descendent was that at the event of Mubahala, Allah states, Hazrat Rasulallah Mo’azzam took Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatima and Hazrat Hasanain Karimain with him and so on the basis of this verse, it was established that Hazrat Hasnain Karimain was the spiritual descendant of Hazrat Rasul-eA’azam. He said, “We are the descendants of Hazrat Imam Husain,” Caliph Harun was satisfied when he heard this argument. (Masa’alik-ul-Sa’alikin and Fasulul and Sava’alk Moharrak)

ACCOUNT OF THE DEPUTATIONS OF THE ARABS TO THE APOSTLE OF ALLAH, MAY ALLAH BLESS HIM-The Deputation of Ashja

The Deputation of Ashja They said: (A deputation of) Ashja waited on the Apostle of Allah, in the
year of the Battle of the Ditch. They were one hundred persons [P. 49]
and their leader was Masud Ibn Rukhaylah. They halted at Shib Sal’a,
and the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, went out to them and
ordered them to get dates. They said: O Muhammad! we do not know
any other tube to be nearer to you than us, and no other tribe having
fewer members than us. We are sad because of your war with your
people. We have come to make peace. He made peace with them. It is said
that the Ashja’ came after the Apostle of Allah had been free from Banu
Qurayzah and they were seven hundred strong. He made peace with
them. Then they embraced Islam.
