121 Seconds… and the Eternal Decision

Beginning: In the Light of the Qur’an
Allah Almighty says: (Surah Al-Mu’minun)

قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ(112)
He will ask: “How many years did you remain on the earth?”

قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ(113)
They will reply: “We remained for a day, or part of a day. Ask those who keep count.”

قَالَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ(114)
Allah will say: “You stayed only a little — if only you had known.”

And Allah also says:

يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ
A Day (of the Hereafter) whose measure is equal to fifty thousand years of worldly time.
(Surah Al-Ma‘arij, Ayah 4)

A Scientific Perspective: How Long Is Worldly Life?
According to the Qur’an, one Day of the Hereafter equals 50,000 years of this world.

In today’s terms, the average human lifespan is about 70 years.

Let us calculate:
70 ÷ 50,000 = 0.0014
One day = 24 hours × 60 minutes × 60 seconds = 86,400 seconds
0.0014 × 86,400 = 121 seconds (approximately)

Conclusion:
A complete 70-year human life equals only about 121 seconds — just two minutes — on the scale of the Day of Judgment.

Now Calculate According to Your Own Age
If you are 20 years old, you have lived only 34 seconds on the clock of the Hereafter.
If you are 35 years old, you have lived only 60 seconds.
If you are 50 years old, you have lived only 84 seconds.
And if your life ends at 70 years, then your entire worldly existence amounts to just 121 seconds.

A Reflection for Today’s Human Being
O human of today — pause and think.

Your seventy years of struggle, your desires, your ambitions, and your pride —
on the scale of the Hereafter — are worth only two minutes.

Will you sell your eternal Paradise for 121 seconds of pleasure?
Will you buy everlasting fire for a few fleeting moments of gain?

Think deeply.
The time that has passed will never return,
and the time that remains is slipping away moment by moment.

This world is a temporary examination,
while the Hereafter is the eternal reality.

Allah, the Lord of Majesty, has granted the human being a gift that is priceless — beautiful, precious, unmatched, and extraordinary.

Now the decision is in your hands:

Will you align your few remaining seconds
with the frequency of Paradise (good deeds),
or will you tune your life
to the frequency of Hell (evil deeds)?

इस दौर में लोगों का यह ख्याल बन गया है कि मुसलमानों ने केवल दीनी शिक्षा पर ही काम किया है। दुनियावी शिक्षा से उनका कोई ताल्लुक नहीं रहा। हालांकि दुनिया का कोई इल्म (ज्ञान) ऐसा नहीं जो मुसलमानों का अहसानमंद ना हो। कुछ नमूने में इसके पेश करता हूं- ज्योगराफी अलखवा रिजमी ने सबसे पहले ज्योगराफी पर किताब लिखी, फिर मोहम्मद बिन मोहम्मद अल इदरीश ने अल ममालिक वल मसालिक नामी किताब में इंटरनेशनल तिजारती रास्तों को नख्शे के साथ लिखकर तिजारत के रास्तों को आसान कर दिया, इसके अलावा दूरबीन अबुल हसन ने बनाई। इबने युसूफ ने पिन्डोलम और इबने माजिद ने कुतुब नुमा तैयार किया। बारुद के साइंस डॉ. फतहुल्लाह और फोटोग्राफी इब्नुल हाशिम की देन है। इतिहास गवाह है कि दुनिया का सबसे पहला समंदरी लड़ाकू जहाज हज़रत मुआविया र.ज. ने बनाया। मैथ्स अरब का पसंदीदा सब्जेक्ट था। इस मैदान में जीरो की ईजाद अरबों का कारनामा है जिससे हिसाब बहुत आसान हो गया। अलजबरा और टिरिगनोमेटरी की शुरुआत भी अरबो ने ही की कोर दि वॉव अपनी मशहूर किताब लेगेसी ऑफ इस्लाम में मुसलमानों की इल्मी तरक्की का जिकर करते हुए कहता है- ”अरबो ने साइंस में बे-मिसाल तरक्की की है। उन्होंने ही जीरो की ईजाद की और इसका उपयोग भी सिखाया। उन्होंने अल जबरा को एक इल्म का दरजा दिया जिसका इल्म यूनानियों को भी नहीं था। इसी तरह अगर बॉटेनी की तरफ रुख करते हो तो नुमाया तरीन साइंस दा इब्ने ब्यतार से आपकी मुलाकात होगी जिनकी किताबों को सोलहवीं सदी तक इस इल्म की सबसे मुसतनद किताबें तसलीम किया जाता था और अगर आप केमिस्ट्री की तरफ रुख करते हो सबसे पहले जाबिर इब्ने हय्यान का नाम होगा। आपको इस फन का आदम भी कहा जाता है। केमेस्ट्री में इनकी खिदमत का एतराफ एक बहुत बड़े साइंसदा मेक्स मैयर हॉफ ने भी किया है वो लिखते हैं यूरोपियन केमिस्ट्री पर जाबिर कि किताबों का असर नुमाया नजर आता है। आपके बनाए हुए केमिस्ट्री के फॉर्मूले आज भी पढ़ाए जाते हैं। अगर आप फिजिक्स की तरफ कदम बढ़ाते हो तो आपको मालूम होगा कि इस इल्म को मुसलमानों ने बहुत से स्कॉलर दिए हंै लेकिन किन्दी एक ऐसे स्कॉलर हैं जिन्होंने फिजिक्स, केमिस्ट्री और मोसिकि पर 265 अहम किताबें लिखी। अगर हम मेडिकल साइंस के मैदान में कदम रखते हैं तो इस मैदान में मुसलमानों ने बू अली सीना, जकरिया राजी और मजूसी जैसे दुनिया के अजीम तरीन डॉक्टर्स दिए, आप साइंसी दुनिया के किसी भी विभाग में नजर दौड़ाओगे तो आपको मुसलमानों के कारनामें नज़र आएंगे। आज हाल यह हो गया है कि इन महान मुस्लिम साइंसदानो से हमारे तालीम याफ्ता लोग भी ना वाकिफ है। जाबिर इब्ने हय्याज जो हजरत जाफर सादिक के शिष्य थे। केमिस्ट्री में आपकी खिदमात बहुत अधिक है। इस इल्म में आपने बाईस किताबें लिखी जो आज भी अरबी भाषा में मौजूद है।  इसी तरह अबुल कासिम इब्नुल अब्बास एक महान सरजन थे जिन्होंने इंसानी जिस्म की तहकीक के लिए पोस्टमार्टम पर जोर दिया। आपकी प्रसिद्ध किताब किताबुत्तसरीफ आज भी यूरोप के मेडिकल कॉलेजों में पढ़ाई जाती है। लेकिन मुसलमानों के इन कारनामों के बावजूद आज अफसोस होता है कि जो कौम कभी इल्म के आला मेयार पर कायम थी जिस कौम की उंगली पकड़कर यूरोप ने अपना इल्मी सफर शुरु किया था। आज वो कौम इल्मी मैदान में पिछड़ती हुई नजर आती है। आज मुसलमान इल्मी मैदान में दूसरी कौमों का मोहताज है, हमको चाहिए कि हम अपने असलाफ की याद को ताजा करें और अपने बच्चों को दीनी व दुनियावी दोनों तालीम जरुर दिलाए ।

”गवा दी हमने जो असलाफ से मेराज पाई थी
सुरय्या से जमी पे आसमा ने हमको दे मारा।

Ek Sufi Khayaal — Dua kab aur kaise qubool hoti hai?

Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz Gesu Daraz Syed Muhammad Zaidi Hussaini (r.a.) farmate hain:
“Baargah-e-Khudawandi ka darwaaza har waqt khula rehta hai — subah ho ya shaam, din ho ya raat.”

Log aksar dua ke liye khaas lamhon ki talaash karte rehte hain.
Tasawwuf humein yeh samjhata hai ke dua ka waqt nahi, dua karne wala dil khaas hota hai.

Qur’an me Allah Ta‘ala farmata hai: “Mujhe pukaaro, main tumhari dua qubool karunga.”

Aur Huzoor nabi e kareem sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam ne irshaad farmaya ke Allah us dil ki dua qubool nahi karta jo ghaafil ho.

Hazrat Imam Ali alaihissalam ki talimaat bhi isi taraf ishara karti hain ke ikhlas, yaqeen aur muhabbat ke baghair ki gayi dua sirf alfaaz reh jaati hai. Jab banda apni majboori ko pehchan kar, bina shikwa aur jaldbazi ke Allah ki taraf palat aata hai, wahi dua apni rooh paida karti hai.

Tasawwuf ke nazdeek dua apne aap ko Allah ke hawale kar dena hai.
Jab niyyat khaalis ho, yaqeen zinda ho, aur dil jhuka hua ho,
to har waqt waqt-e-qubooliyat ban jaata hai.
