Everyone remembers Ibrāhīm ʿalayhis-salām’s ram…
But what about the sacrifice of the Prophet’s ﷺ family?

Every Eid, we hear how Ibrāhīm ʿalayhis-salām loved his son,
how he was ready to give him up for the sake of Allāh.
And how Allāh accepted his intention, and sent a ram instead.

A powerful story —
about submission, love for Allāh, and true obedience.

*But why do we forget Karbala?*

Why do we not speak about Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī —
who gave not just one son, but his whole family,
for the protection of this dīn?

Think about it:
Ibrāhīm was ready to sacrifice one son,
Ḥusayn sacrificed six-month-old ʿAlī Asghar, teenage Qāsim, brave ʿAbbās, and himself.

All for one purpose —
To keep Islām pure.

Just like Ibrāhīm’s qurbānī taught us how to obey,
Ḥusayn’s qurbānī taught us how to resist ẓulm,
stand for ḥaqq, and protect the rūḥ of Islām — even when alone.

So this Eid, don’t just remember the ram.
Remember those who gave their lives…
so we could live with:

*Lā ilāha illa Allāh, Muḥammadur Rasūlullāh ﷺ.*

Har koi Ibrāhīm Alaihissalām ke dumbe ko yaad karta hai…
Lekin Nabi ﷺ ke khandaan ki qurbani ka kya?

Har Eid par hum sunnte hain Ibrāhīm Alaihissalām ki qurbani ka waqia —
ke kaise unhon ne apne laal se mohabbat ke bawajood,
sirf Allah ke liye usay qurbaan karne ka iraada kiya,
aur Allah ne unka jazba qabool karke, ek dumba bhej diya.

Yeh qissa hai tasleem ka, taqwa ka,
aur Allah se sachi mohabbat ka.

Lekin hum Karbala ko kyun bhool jaate hain?

Hum Sayyiduna Husayn ibn Ali Alaihissalām ko kyun nahi yaad karte —
jo sirf ek nahi,
poora khandaan Allah ke deen ke liye qurbaan kar gaye?

Sochiye zara:

Ibrāhīm Alaihissalām ek beta qurbaan karne ko tayyar thay…
Husayn Alaihissalām ne diya:
Chhih mah ka Ali Asghar,
Nojawaan Qasim,
Bahadur Abbas,
aur khud apni jaan.

Sirf ek maqsad ke liye —
Islām ki asal rooh ko bachaane ke liye.

Jis tarah Ibrāhīm Alaihissalām ki qurbani ne humein itaat ka dars diya,
Husayn Alaihissalām ki qurbani ne humein sikhaya:
Zulm ke khilāf khade hona,
Haq ke liye ladna,
aur akelay hone ke bawajood, deen ki hifazat karna.

Toh is Eid par sirf dumbe ko yaad na karo…
Unko bhi yaad karo
jo apni jaanon ka nazrana de gaye,
taake hum kalma ke saath jee saken:

Lā ilāha illa Allāh, Muhammadur Rasūlullāh ﷺ.
