Why Were We Created ?

■ Why Were We Created ?

Let’s place all our distractions aside, silence the noise of the world, and ask ourselves something very simple… yet very, very deep:

❝Why are we even here?❞

What is our real *purpose* in this beautiful yet mysterious world, where birds sing, oceans roar, stars twinkle, and hearts ache for something more?

My dear, read softly with your heart open: We are not just bodies walking around. We are not just flesh, bones, and appetites. We are human beings—*Ashraf al-Makhluqat*, the most honored of all creations! Allah ﷻ chose *you*, dear one, and not the mountains, not the stars, not the animals, not the trees… but *you*, to know Him, to recognize Him, and to love Him.

You see, in the sacred traditions, the Aulia and Sufis have teaches something beautiful into our hearts. They say: Allah ﷻ said:

❝I was a Hidden Treasure, and I loved to be known, so I created the creation.❞

Now pause, breathe, and think about that…

*He loved to be known.*

But wait—who would recognize Him? The rocks? The rivers? The skies? No… Even the angels, as radiant and pure as they are, were not chosen for this. The birds fly, yes. The winds blow, yes. The trees sway. The oceans obey. But only one creation was destined to *know* Him, to *reflect* Him, to *love* Him back.

That creation… was **you**.

Yes, my dearest readers, you. You were handpicked by Divine Love. You were molded by Eternal Mercy. You were kissed by Divine Intention. You were given eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that *feels*. You were created to recognize the Beauty behind all beauty—the Light behind all lights—the Love behind all loves.

And isn’t that incredible?

Out of all the billions of stars…

Out of all the creatures crawling, flying, roaring, grazing, slithering, blooming, swimming…

Out of all the hidden wonders in the deep oceans and secret caves…

*Allah ﷻ chose you to know Him.*

That’s the real purpose of life. That’s the secret the Aulia Allah try to awaken in our sleeping hearts.

The great Sufis always teach that the entire universe is divided into two realities:

**1. Allah ﷻ**,

**2. Everything else**—which they call **”Ma Siwa Allah”** (everything besides Allah ﷻ).

And You, me, animals, planets, forests, mountains, even time itself—we all fall under the second category. We are all part of *Ma Siwa Allah*.

But here’s the point in this cosmic system: Among everything else that exists, Allah ﷻ gave **only the human being** the honor and ability to *recognize* Him. To know Him. To love Him. To be His mirror.

And that, my dear readers, is not a small thing. It is the crown of existence.

Now let’s go on a little inner journey together. Close your eyes (well, figuratively 😉) and look at your own self. This beautiful face of yours—these eyes, this nose, this tongue, these ears, this mind that thinks, this heart that feels… who gave them to you? Who designed your face so uniquely? Who placed that sparkle in your eye? Who made your voice so distinct that even your mother could recognize it in a crowd?

Yes… It is He—Allah ﷻ.

He says in the Qur’an:

❝We created the human being in the best form❞ — *Ahsan Taqweem*

What a magnificent form!

What brilliance!

And look at the *power* you carry…

You climb mountains, you explore oceans, you fly in the skies. You unlock the secrets of atoms and stars. You cook food with flavors that goods on the tongue. You make good music, you write poetry, you cry out of love, and you hold others when they break.

And even more amazing: You search for meaning.

You ask, *“Why am I here?”*

You ache for something beyond this world.

You feel that pull—that tug—that whisper…

That is your soul remembering its origin.

That is your soul saying,
*”I was created to know Him.”*

O beloved readers, have you noticed? Even the animals are doing their jobs in service of humanity—without complaint, without rebellion. The cow chews its grass in peace so that milk may flow into its udder for *you*. The sheep wanders and grazes so you can wear its wool. The bees fly flower to flower, collecting nectar, so you may enjoy sweet honey.

And we?

We raise our bodies, eat the best food, wear the finest clothes—but often forget *why* we were given such a beautiful form to begin with.

We were not made just to consume…

Not to fight…
Not to harm…
Not to destroy…

But to *serve*,
To *recognize*,
To *love*.

And yet… how tragic it is when we forget.

The Qur’an says:

❝Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low.❞ — *Asfal as-Safilin*

Why? Because when a human forgets his purpose, he falls lower than the animals. Even animals fulfill their duties. They serve. They give. They don’t hurt without reason. But when a human becomes selfish, cruel, arrogant—he sinks below even the simplest sheep.

The Qur’an says again:

❝They are like cattle—no, even more astray.❞

And that hurts to hear, doesn’t it?

But sometimes, the heart needs to break a little so the truth can enter.

So my dear readers, please…

*Don’t let your light fade.*

Don’t be distracted by the glitter of the world.

Don’t be deceived by the voice that says, *“Just enjoy life and die.”*

You were made for something **so much greater**.

You are not here by accident.

You are not here just to make money, get old, and disappear.

You are here because the Divine wanted to be *known*…

And He chose **you** for that sacred task.

So look around with new eyes…

See His signs in the sky, the trees, the waves.

Feel His mercy in the warmth of the sun and the sweetness of water.

Remember Him with your tongue, with your heart, with your breath.

And when you fall (because we all fall), don’t despair—just say,

❝Ya Allah… I forgot, but now I remember. Take me back. Make me Yours again.❞

Because truly, **your soul will never be at peace until it returns to the One who made it.**

So go ahead…
Breathe in His mercy…
Walk toward Him…

And remind yourself every day:
**“I was created to know Allah ﷻ. Everything else is secondary.”**

اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلَىٰ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
