Today Najd has been renamed as “Riyadh” which is the present day capital city of Saudi Arabia. As our beloved Prophet ﷺ mentioned in the above hadith, 300 years ago, a person called Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab was born in Najd. Who is the founder of Wahabism. According to him all the traditional Muslims are deviants. He created lot of fitna (chaos) in the Muslim world. He considered all the Islamic Scholars are deviants and only those who follow him are in righteous path.

Today the followers of Ibn Abdul Wahab Najdi are called as Wahabi or Salafi and they have spread their misguided teachings all over the world. They operate under different names in different countries. Some of them are Thowheed Jamaat, Jamate Islami, Ihwan (Brotherhood) and Tabligh Jamaat etc.

It is duty of every Muslim to protect their faith from those wahabi deviants according the hadith of our beloved Prophet ﷺ and follow the footsteps of his companions.

Sufi Dance

♣  Habashis were present in front of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and “THEY WERE DANCING (Yarqasun)” and saying: Muhammadun Abdun Salih (i.e. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم the righteous slave). The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asked: What are they saying? They said: Muhammadun Abdun Salih

Narrated by Anas (RadhiAllahu Anhu)

Musnad Ahmed Volume No.3, Page no. 152

♣  Imam Bayhaqi made a whole chapter on permissibility of Raqs and after citing this hadith he said: In this (hadith) is “SAHIH PROOF” and “PERMISSIBILITY” of hoping (dancing) which includes “RISING UP OR JUMPING IN STATE OF JOY” and also that of doing “RAQS” which is similar to it.

Sunnan al Baihaqi al Kubra (15/333)

♣  Imam Jalal al-Din Suyuti (rah) was asked for a Question “a group of Sufis who had gathered for a session of dhikr,” and he replied: How can one condemn making dhikr while standing, or standing while making dhikr, when Allah Most High says, “. . . those who invoke Allah standing, sitting, and upon their sides” (Qur’an 3:191). And ‘A’isha (Allah be well pleased with her) said, “The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) used to invoke Allah at all of his times” [Sahih Muslim, 1.282: 373]. And if dancing is added to this standing, it may not be condemned, as it is of the joy of spiritual vision and ecstasy, and the hadith exists [in many sources, such as [Musnad al-Imam Ahmad, 1.108, with a sound (hasan) chain of transmission] that Ja‘far ibn Abi Talib danced in front of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) when the Prophet told him, “You resemble me in looks and in character,” dancing from the happiness he felt from being thus addressed…….and the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) did not condemn him for doing so, this being a basis for the legal acceptability of the Sufis dancing from the joys of the ecstasies they experience, Hence it is correct to stand and dance during gatherings of Dhikr and Sama according to a group of Majority of Scholars, among them being Shaykh ul-Islam Iz udin bin Abd al-Salaam.

Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game’s body in which case, if the Qudhadh of the arrow is examined, nothing will be found on it, and when its Nasl is examined, nothing will be found on it; and then its Nadiyi is examined, nothing will be found on it. The arrow has been too fast to be smeared by dung and blood. The sign by which these people will be recognized will be a man whose one hand (or breast) will be like the breast of a woman (or like a moving piece of flesh). These people will appear when there will be differences among the people (Muslims).” Abu Sa’id added: I testify that I heard this from the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and also testify that ‘Ali killed those people while I was with him. The man with the description given by the Prophet was brought to ‘Ali.
